Killer rod for the money. Had a factory rod which i gave to my dad and a friend wrapped this blank up for me. Didnt care for foam grips or acid wrap. But all around killer rod. Great backbone, very sensitive. I fish it with braid and a slower reel. Great combo. Deep water fluke or blackfish i love it.
Its very deceiving, it looks like a very light rod but its very very strong. I swing fish of all sizes with the thing and its good for another day. Love it

I purchased this ride a few weeks ago and already have two dozen togs under my belt on it. I love the supersensitive field as well as the backbone to really get those critters out of the structure. I really love this new rod!

Finesse and stopping Power

Getting geared up for the coming Blackfish season here in NY. I recently purchased the 7'5" Black Demon rod and was able to try it out on a Porgy trip. I was immediately impressed with the sensitivity in detecting small bites, and made short work of taming large aggressive Porgies with the backbone of the rod. I cant wait to use this on Togs! This will be great for those finicky days when you need to finesse togs with small hooks and baits. Great service as well. Will be purchasing future items from this store.
Bottom fishing machine

I picked up this rod for bottom fishing in NC. What a blast to fish with. Super lightweight and a soft tip so smaller game doesn't pull hooks. Plenty of backbone when you need it though. We ran into schools of Amberjacks and I had no issues taming a few beasts, as well as banded rudderfish, triggerfish, black sea bass and grunts.
Great rod for the price

Purchased the 7'5 rod for black fishing. Since black fish was not open in NY yet, took it out to do some fluke and porgy combo in the Peconic Bay ( just want to get it wet). Tip is sensitive enough to feel all the fluke bites at 50 feet of water drifting close to 2 knot (damn wind). Solid back bone with double header 18" giant porgies. Real nice control with the spiral wrapped when the blue fishes took over the porgy bites. Rod no longer rolled to the side when the chopper tried to take off running. However, the spec on the rod was different from the website. According to Yong Yan, this is their second batch. They made the rod tip more stiffer but forgot to change the spec sheet. The spec on the7'5 rod is, Lure weight 1 to 4oz and Line weight 20 to 40lbs. Overall it is a very good all around rod. Fast shipping and it came with a rod bag. Cannot wait to put a hurt on the black fish this season. Tight line.
