Shipping

At Tackle World, we offer FREE shipping for orders over $100.00 in continental USA, EXCLUDING rods, blanks and other oversize items. We ship via USPS (postal service), UPS and FedEx. All 1-piece rods and blanks of 7'5" and taller will ship via UPS or FedEx. Due to high postage, we are unable to ship any 1-piece rod that is 7'10" and over. They are, however, available for in-store pick-up.

<Signature Confirmation>

A signature confirmation requirement for a shipment means that someone needs to be present at the address on the order to sign for the package in order for the delivery to be complete. We require signature confirmation on any order containing either ONE product with a retail value of $400 and over, or TWO similar-value products with a combined retail value of $400 and over. Retail value is the original price of the product, before any discount, tax or shipping & handling. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

IF you would like to opt out of Signature Confirmation, please let us know via Note at the time of order so that we can process accordingly BEFORE shipping. You can also e-mail us at info@tackleworld.com. If the order has already shipped, we are unable to change the confirmation method. For UPS shipments, please use UPS My Choice to change confirmation method (CLICK HERE). For FedEx shipments, please use FedEx Delivery Manager (CLICK HERE). PLEASE note that Tackle World is NOT liable for any loss or theft for orders that have opted out of or overrode signature confirmation service, including changing confirmation method through UPS My Choice and FedEx Delivery Manager.

 

<Fixed Shipping Fee>

Due to additional shipping and handling and other fees involved, fixed shipping fees will apply to large and oversized items, such as rods, blanks and select tackle storage. These fixed shipping fees are applied regardless of the order total, and will not be eligible for any form of discount. Fixed shipping fee for rods and blanks are applied only ONCE per order, regardless of the number of rods and blanks on order.

Examples:

  • $25 flat rate shipping fee applies to all rods and blanks.
  • $35 flat rate shipping fee applies to large rod and reel combos.

 

<Shipping Period>

Shipping and delivery dates are based on the AVAILABILITY of the items and SHIPPING option. Orders normally take 1-2 business days to process for shipping. Random authentication process may take place for quality and customer security.

PLEASE double check your shipping address before placing an order. We are not responsible for shipment delay, loss or damage due to incorrect address.

Weekend delivery: weekends are not considered business days and therefore transit and deliveries are unavailable on weekends. Many USPS hubs may make Saturday deliveries, but this is solely up to the local hub's discretion and is out of our control. For UPS and FedEx, Saturday delivery may be available but will incur an additional charge. If you would like your order to be delivered on Saturday, or you want to make sure your order is actively in transit on Saturday, please reach out to us via e-mail or phone BEFORE your order is shipped so that you can settle the additional charge.

When ordering, please plan ahead as unforeseen delay, damage or loss can happen within any type of carrier. For urgent orders, please contact us directly prior to order placement so that we can best accommodate your needs.

 

<Hours of Operation>

Customer service department for online orders is open Monday through Friday from 9AM-5PM EST and closed for public holidays.

Shipping cut-off time is Monday through Friday at 11am EST for USPS (may include Standard shipping method), and 2pm EST for UPS. This time may change depending on carrier pick-up time for the day. There is no shipping on federal holidays, even if the store is open.

International Orders (PAYPAL Only)

International orders are shipped only by UPS for delivery concerns.

WE DO NOT SHIP RODS, BLANKS AND OTHER OVERSIZE ITEMS OVERSEAS.

Fixed shipping fees on oversize items (including but not limited to rods, blanks, etc.) are NOT applicable for international orders.

If you would like to place an order for oversize items, please contact our customer service at info@tackleworld.com to check availability.

Shipping address must be in English. Upon order placement, our customer service team will e-mail you to verify your shipping address. We will only ship the order once the address is verified via e-mail. PLEASE check your shipping address before placing an order. We are not responsible for shipment delay, loss or damage due to incorrect address.

We do not under-declare shipment value.

We do not pre-collect custom fees and taxes; it is the recipient's duty to arrange and meet the requirements for delivery. We will not issue a refund or re-ship an order that has failed to deliver due to  recipient's lack of payment or communication with the local carriers and governing bodies.

Once shipped out of our warehouse, tracking and further-coordinating with your local carrier is the sole responsibility of you as the buyer and recipient. This includes but is not limited to: custom processing, custom fees, sales tax, address validation, loss or damage, and etc.

We do not accept returns or exchanges for international orders at this time. That being said, if you run into any issue, please e-mail us at info@tackleworld.com and we will do our best to assist you!

 

In-Store Pick-Up

Tackle World is proud to offer in-store pick-up for all orders at no additional handling fee. Please select "Pick Up" at the time of checkout. Once the order is ready for pick-up (usually within 1-2 business days), we will send you an e-mail notification.

By choosing Pick Up as the order processing method, you agree that:

1. All pick-up orders must be picked up within 14 days from the date order was marked as ready for pick-up. Tackle World reserves the right to cancel or modify any order that is not picked up within the pick-up window, which may incur up to 10% restocking fee.

2. Upon pick-up, you must present current, valid government photo ID with matching billing information (first name, last name and address) on the order. We require that you sign a copy of the receipt for us to keep for our record. This signature is a seal of approval from you acknowledging that the order you're picking up is faultless and you have checked and agree with the quality and quantity of the content.

 

Return & Exchange Policy

All shipment and order issues such as missing items, damaged or defective products must be reported within 30 days of item receipt via e-mail at info@tackleworld.com.

ALL returns for online order must be authorized by us via e-mail (info@tackleworld.com) prior to return. This includes returns made in-person at our retail location. If a return is made without prior authorization via e-mail, it may not be eligible for any form of refund or exchange.

Only New and Unused items returned within 30 days of receipt qualify for refund or exchange. For returns made that are due to no fault of Tackle World (including but not limited to: change of mind, ordered by mistake, better price available), refund issued will exclude shipping & handling fee. Original box, papers, parts, tags and other packaging must be returned with the product in the condition they were originally received in. Refunds and exchange will take place within a week after inspection.

All products marked as "Close Out" or "Final Sale" are NOT eligible for return, exchange or refund.

We do not accept returns on used or damaged products, which include but are not limited to:

  • Reels that have been spooled up, including those we pre-spool upon request
  • Rods that weren't used to fish, but now have salt, dirt or bait residue or other cosmetic damages
  • Products found to be defective past 30-day return period (don't be alarmed--they may be eligible for manufacturer's warranty service!)

Tackle World has the final say and the right to refuse the return of any item(s) from customers who have a record of abusing returns or exchanges. Tackle World reserves the right to charge any necessary amount of restocking fee if necessary.

Orders

Online orders and shipping department are open Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm EST. For inquiries about your order or online shopping, please reach out to us during the above hours via e-mail at info@tackleworld.com or phone, and request to be connected to the online department.

 

<Order/Item Cancellation>

In the event where an item(s) in your order is not available, we will refund the item(s) as we ship you the rest of your order. In the event where item(s) in your entire order is not available, we will cancel the order and refund the entire order amount to you. In the event where your order is processed and payment is captured, and you request your order to be cancelled before your order is shipped, Tackle World reserves the right to refund the order amount less 5% restocking fee.

 

<Special Orders>

Special orders are available through existing vendors and distributors. If you don't see something that you want, you can always reach out to us via phone or e-mail!

All special order items are final sale and are not eligible for cancellation, return or exchange in any circumstance. All special orders must be paid in full at the time of order placement.

 

<Spooling>

Yes, we spool reels! We offer: monofilament, braid, hollow-core and fluorocarbon of a wide range of lb test and color. If you want to purchase a reel from us and have us spool it before shipping it out to you, simply leave us a note at the time of checkout, or e-mail or call us with your order number. We will reach out to you via phone to process payment, or email you with a payable invoice. Most reels are spooled up on the same day as payment and will not delay the shipping process. Price and brand can vary by availability. Call us at 201-587-0011 during business hours for real-time information on availability.

Please note that reels that have been spooled up, including those we spool upon request, are not eligible for return.

 

Gift Cards

Tackle World's online gift cards can be purchased here: https://www.tackleworld.com/products/tackle-world-egift-card

These gift cards CAN ONLY BE USED ONLINE, at tackleworld.com. They CANNOT BE USED IN STORE FOR IN-PERSON SHOPPING.

Physical Tackle World gift card that was purchased over the phone or in store is also not redeemable online.

Order Discounts

All order level discounts (i.e. newsletter sign-up coupon code) are applicable only on full-priced items. Some products may be excluded from eligibility even at full price.

Exclusions include but are not limited to: Strategic Angler Lures, custom rods, Gear-Up.
